Long Island Sports Training has announced a fitness program aimed at brides and grooms who want to lose weight before their wedding. With the time constraints often faced before weddings, the program is designed to deliver noticeable results within a few days to 4 weeks leading up to the event.

“Weddings are truly once-in-a-lifetime events, and we understand the desire of individuals to look their absolute best on their special day,” the company’s spokesperson said. “This is why we have created a training program designed to provide noticeable results while ensuring participants have enough energy to enjoy the event.”
They added that the program focuses on moderate-high intensity programs that offer the right amount of intensity to see results while ensuring that trainees are injury-free owing to its minimal impact on muscles and joints.
A survey by Treadmill Reviews found that “6 in 10 brides and grooms” tried to slim down in the days leading up to their weddings. The same study also found that two-thirds of bridesmaids and more than half of groomsmen also tried to shed pounds before the event.
“This trend doesn’t surprise us. Most weddings are extravagant and expensive affairs that people remember for a long time, so attendees will make an extra effort to look good on that special day,” the spokesperson added.
Training sessions are handled by Tim Gilmore, an experienced fitness coach and former athlete who played baseball at Concordia College, once a top Division II baseball school. Today, Coach Gilmore utilizes his extensive experience to coach and train student athletes in the Long Island area, as well as adult clients looking for one-on-one training.
Tim and his wife both hold certifications from a number of prestigious organizations in the fitness industry, including the National Council on Strength and Fitness, SafeSport, and HEADS UP, as well as being certified in first aid, CPR, and AED.
Long Island Sports Training provides a number of personal training solutions to the Long Island area, particularly to those residing in the counties of Suffolk and Nassau.
