Rollingwood, Austin CEREC Dental Crowns: Same-Day Restoration Announced

Following the announcement, Westlake Hills Dental Arts now uses 3D tooth modeling technology to create natural-looking crowns that allow for a faster, same-day restoration. With this treatment, patients in and around Austin no longer need multiple dentist visits to restore their broken, decayed, or discolored teeth since all can be fixed in one day.

More details can be found at

This practice servers the greater Austin, TX area including Lost Creek, Tarrytown, Rollingwood and Barton Creek.

Unlike the traditional approach that uses wax impressions, the new one-day crown CEREC restoration is based on a more precise representation of patients’ teeth, enabling the practice to create customized tooth restorations with optimal accuracy.

“CEREC crowns are one of a kind,” says Dr. Rebecca Long, lead dentist of Westlake Hills Dental Arts. “They make the experience of undergoing restorative care easier and more convenient.”

To create one-day crowns, Dr. Long uses a specialized intra-oral scanner that allows her to create a high-resolution digital model of the patient’s teeth and mouth. This model is then sent to the practice’s in-house milling unit, where the crown is created in minutes using quality dental materials, like ceramic or porcelain, while the patient waits.

Due to their flexibility, these dental crowns can be used to restore a single tooth or multiple teeth, providing the patient with the desired smile makeover. The procedure is minimally invasive and painless and usually involves fitting the crown into place to protect vulnerable teeth affected by decay or damage.

With CEREC, patients don’t need to wear temporary crowns since they can walk out of the dental office with a fully restored smile. In addition, these crowns are metal-free, making them a healthier, more environmentally friendly option. Details are available at

Along with one-day dental crowns, Westlake Hills Dental Arts offers other restorative dental services using implants, bridges, veneers, and more to help patients achieve beautiful smiles.

“Dr. Long and her team are patient and well-versed in their craft,” a satisfied patient said. “Going to the dentist isn’t always easy, but they will make sure you are comfortable and at ease and will answer all of your questions. Dr. Long has my highest recommendation.”
